Grey Hackle Woodworking

Wood Art & Functional Wood Art

*This is a grey hackle trout fly. Several years ago, there was an outdoor writer whom I liked who wrote under the name Sparse Grey Hackle. Hence, since my hackle is not yet sparse, my company name.
I choose to work with wood because there is no other material with the beauty and endless variety that wood possesses. I work with both domestic woods and exotic imports in order to avail myself of all the options in color, grain, figure, and texture. No two pieces I make are exactly alike, so no one else will ever have a duplicate.
